Some people learn photography through manuals. Hafiz learned it by quietly watching how light wraps around a teacup, how steam curls above a bowl, how color hums when the right objects sit side by side. That habit of seeing—carefully, curiously, and with intention—is at the center of his work as a commercial photographer.
For him, a product shoot is never just about a lens, a softbox, and a surface. It is about translating the weight of a ceramic mug, the crispness of a knife edge, or the warmth of a shared meal into images that feel tangible on screen. Form and color are his favorite language: bold when a brand needs energy, quiet and restrained when it calls for clarity and trust.
Hafiz’s background in psychology, teaching and workshop leadership has trained him to think structurally: every frame must have a purpose, every detail must support the story. Years spent designing and running commercial product and food photography workshops have honed his ability to move fluently between concept, execution, and critique—constantly refining until the image is as clean and honest as the idea behind it.
In the studio, he balances imagination with discipline. He loves the play of experimenting with new angles, surfaces, and ingredients, but he is equally committed to consistency, reliable workflows, and brand-aligned visual systems. Whether shooting for eCommerce, social media, or packaging, his aim is always the same: vibrant, focused images that make it effortless for people to feel the product before they ever hold it.
Today, based in Montreal and working full-time in-studio, Hafiz brings together a visual mind, a love of color and clarity, and deep technical skill in lighting and post-production to create images that don’t just look good—they work hard for the brands behind them.
